The Problem
The public record is technically public. But try to actually use it. Court filings buried in county databases. Congressional votes scattered across dozens of sites. Campaign finance in formats nobody can read. Healthcare data locked behind enterprise paywalls.
The information has always been there. The interfaces have always been the problem.
Until now. For the first time, we have AI capable of connecting what's been scattered.
What We're Building
We believe answers emerge from connections. Every answer must link to its source. Every connection must be verifiable. Our systems map structured relationships you can follow yourself.
We don't tell you what to think. We map the connections and let you draw your own conclusions. Our system shows who funded whom, who voted how, who owns what. The relationships are the record.
The mission: make the public record actually accessible. Connect what's been scattered. Surface what's been buried.
Why This Matters
Our founder's grandfather, Frank Mascara, served in Congress. His career ended not at the ballot box, but on a drafting table.
In 2002, the Pennsylvania legislature drew a congressional district with such surgical precision that it included his home while explicitly excluding where he parked his car. The line was designed to erase him. And it worked.
That map was an act of political violence committed through data. The people who drew it used information as a weapon. The public couldn't see the intent until the law was passed.
When data is hard to access, it becomes a tool for those who know where to look. We're changing who gets to look.
From the Founder
This isn't a product built by a corporation. It's a personal mission architected by a single person, rooted in a family legacy of law and public service.
My father, Mark Mascara, served as a Judge on the Court of Common Pleas and as a CYS judge, helping shape legislation in Pennsylvania to protect children. My grandfather served in Congress and is known as the father of Southpointe, Pennsylvania's largest business park.
I lost them both before I turned fourteen. They saw problems others ignored and built solutions that outlasted them. That's the tradition that has kept me up at night, trying to figure out how to live up to what they left behind.
This is my answer. ChatWith Technologies: using technology to bring transparency and accessibility to the public record. I will do everything in my power to see it through.
